This is the colorful patterned house of The Dignanis, two creative and entrepreneurial sisters.

Zule and Sol Dignanis are sisters. They came from Ramallo, Buenos Aires province, to study and stayed. The girls are a success story: in 2014 they created The Dignanis, a scarf brand that focuses on print design and full-print patterns, and today they sell accessories, stationery, fabrics by the meter with “unique, colorful, and original” prints—as they themselves describe them—and even sell their scarves in Anthropologie stores in the United States.

The fun part of their story is that, although they do everything together, they are very different, and their roles within the business—and at home!—are clearly defined: Zule is the creative artist and sketches the designs freehand, which are then digitized for the various products; Sol is a publicist and handles the brand’s communication and marketing. Since November 2022, they have lived together in this old French-style apartment in Balvanera, which they converted into their home and studio. “While we were putting it together, we filmed a reality show,” the sisters explain. In Project: Deco at Casa Dignanis (look it up on YouTube!) you can see the before and after photos of the decor and some DIY projects they did for each room.
